There are two basic forces (not straight vectors) in nature: One “active”, “Yang”, having its “spin”, say, in clockwise direction, “oxidizing”, “acidic”, “protonic”, (H+), negentropic, erotic (Eros=life), trigonometrically the Sine at 45ľ=0.707, traditionally represented by the number 6, which is attracted by the other force, traditionally represented by the number 9, at 90ľ from the first one (“Right Hand Law”) in its eagerness to “return to unity”, the  “passive” one, “Ying” with its, say, anti-clockwise “spin”, “reductant”, alkaline, electronic (OH-), entropic, tanatic (Thanatos=death), trigonometrically the Cosine at 135ľ = -0.707,  which attracts the other force, as in the case of Water, to form H + OH- =H2O.

Therefore, they are not “opposite” at 180ľ, equivalent to 6 months: 30 x 6 =180ľ, but as found in the Feng-Shui compass, at 90ľ, equivalent to 3 months: 30 x 30 = 90ľ (approximately, as the current calendar is 365 days long and not 360). This is why there are two “opposites”: “forward” and “backward”, where ying, it is mechanically drawn “forward”, while consciously  “backwards”; and inversely Yang is mechanically drawn backward and consciously, “forward”.

This phenomenon, in mathematics, is called “vector addition” and, in common language “marriage” (meter= matter and mono, one): “One matter”. That, in the case of the entropic, involutive option, it manifests "downwards", in a third independent being, giving a "biological immortality"; in the negentropic option, it is manifested "upwards", but this time in a "synthetic" being, the union of both forces, completing and resolving that constant feeling of "lack" previously present in each of them: in alchemical language a "coincidentia oppositorum" of    "mercury” and “sulfur” and that it is called “Salt”, both now united at the universal third force: (1+0=1)
